Disney Inspired Rice Krispy Treats

Disney Inspired Rice Krispies Treats

Hey pals! I decided to make easy rice crispy treats that were inspired by some stores at Walt Disney World.

My favorite thing to get at the Ice cream Parlor is their ice cream sandwiches. So I started playing around with ingredients and I made a really yummy cookie dough rice crispy treat!

Cooking Dough Rice Krispies Treat:

Used this website to help out with the cookie dough layer: http://hugsandcookiesxoxo.com/2015/01/cookie-dough-rice-krispy-treats.html

What you will need:

  • 5 cups of Rice Krispies Cereal
  • 1 bag of mini marshmallows (10 ounces)
  • 3 tablespoons of unsalted butter
  • ½ cup of funfetti cake mix (or any kind)
  • 1 cup of softened butter
  • 1 cup of brown sugar
  • ½ cup of granulated sugar
  • 1 cup of mini chocolate chips
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • ½ teaspoon of salt
  • 2 cups of flour

What you will need to do:

  1. Melt the 3 tablespoons of unsalted butter and 1 bag of mini marshmallows in a large nonstick sauce pan.
  2. Once the marshmallow and the butter are melted add in the ½ cup of your cake mix. Then, add in the 5 cups of Rice Krispies cereal.
  3. Mix together and on a greased baking tray, add the mixture and pat down.
  4. Set the tray aside and let the mixture cool.
  5. In a medium sized bowl, mix together the 1 cup butter, both sugars, salt and vanilla extract.
  6. Add in the flour and once it is all mixed in, add in the mini chocolate chips.
  7. Layer the cookie dough mixture on top of the Rice Krispies and place the tray in the refrigerator.
  8. Cut the treats into squares once the cookie dough mixture has hardened.Cookie Dough Treats.jpg

I was also inspired by the Mickey shaped Rice Krispies and I decided to try to make them myself!

Mickey Shaped Rice Krispies:

What you will need:

  1. 6 cups of Rice Krispies cereal
  2. 3 tablespoons of butter
  3. 1 bag of 10 ounce mini marshmallows
  4. Semi-sweet chocolate morsels
  5. Coconut oil

What you will need to do:

  1. Melt the butter and the marshmallows in a large sauce pan.
  2. Add in the cereal and mix.
  3. Add the mixture to a mini pie tray and a cupcake tray and pat down.
  4. Microwave the semi-sweet chocolate in a microwave safe bowl (Heat in two 30 second intervals).
  5. Add a teaspoon of coconut oil into the melted chocolate.
  6. Once the Rice Krispies are cooled, combine one big circle with two mini circles to make Mickey’s head. Use chocolate to stick them together and let they cool on parchment paper.
  7. Once they are cooled, dip half of the Mickey ears half way into the chocolate and place onto parchment paper.
  8. Place the treats into the refrigerator until the chocolate has hardened.

  3. Pat down the treats onto the pans used to make mini pies.
  4. Let it cook.
